Chris was born 70 years ago in Ogdensburg, on August 26, 1951 to Mildred and Samuel McAdoo. Chris brought his talent and personality to work with him every day as a lineman with the Middleburgh Telephone Company for 38 years, before retiring. When not beneath the waves or at the beach, he could be found working around his home and helping friends. His huge heart was always willing to lend a helping hand when anyone was in need and his ingenuity was especially handy when a solution was needed. He was always willing to try new things and push the envelope while thinking outside of the box.
He loved the outdoors, whether hunting, fishing off the docks at their winter retreat in Ft. Pierce, Florida with his deep-sea pole or cruising in one of his classics, a 1984 Cadillac and Joyce’s bright red 1958 MGA Roadster. Their sparkle was akin to the same sparkle in his own eyes. They glistened when he grinned and you just knew there was a hint of the devil and fun brewing. Charlie and Joyce were also long-time members of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church and the Middleburgh Reformed Church. Heaven gained a beautiful soul on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 when Mary Bracci Bowen, of State Route 10, Summit found eternal peace in the warmth and comfort of her home.

Masterson, Sr. He graduated from Schoharie Central School in 1958 and from SUNY Cobleskill in 1959, before joining the United States Navy the same year to become a Fleet Marine Force Navy... Anyone that knew Chris, knew his passion for laughter and a good time. His workshop was his studio, filled with tools he’s used for a lifetime of woodworking projects, mastered with time and talent. And adorning the walls are keepsakes from some of his favorite hunting trips that didn’t get away from his patient steady aim. His devotion to life was never more evident than with his children and grandchildren, loving every moment of their lives.
While he requested no formal services, Chris’ wishes for simple cremation have been honored and his family thanks you for remembering him and them through this time. Helen H. Armlin, of Hanson Crossing Road, died peacefully Saturday, November 5, 2022 in the loving care of her family. Helen was born 91 years ago on September 13, 1931 in Brooklyn and graduated from Middleburgh Central School in 1949. She received her degree in Pediatric Nursing from Foundling Hospital and worked for a year, before leaving to raise her family.
